This Privacy Policy explains how Hydroseed.AI ("Hydroseed.AI," "Sprout," "we," "us"), operated by Turf Blasters Services, LLC as part of the 1-800-NEW-TURF / Turf Blaster Products ecosystem, handles information when you use this website and the Sprout assistant (the "Service").
| Type | What it is | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Chat content | The messages and questions you type to Sprout, and his replies. | To generate answers and run the conversation. |
| Conversation records | We keep a record of the conversation — what you typed, Sprout's reply, the date and time, and a session reference that ties one conversation together. | To improve Sprout's answers, measure how well he's helping, and support you if you follow up. |
| Project request details | What you enter when you send a project request: your name, email address, ZIP code, and your phone number if you choose to give one, along with anything you tell us about the project. | So a person — or a contractor who covers your area — can respond to your request. |
| Voice usage | Text converted to Sprout's spoken voice when you use the voice feature. | To produce audio responses. |
| Technical data | IP address, browser/device type, and request timing. | Security, rate-limiting, and preventing abuse. |
| Local storage | A small flag saved in your browser marking you as a returning visitor. | To show the right welcome greeting. It stays on your device. |
You do not need an account to use Sprout, and we never ask for payment card details on this site. Contact information reaches us only when you choose to send a project request or email us — chatting with Sprout alone doesn't require it, and Sprout is not given your name, email, or phone number to hold a conversation.
We share information only with the service providers that make the Service work, and only the parts they need. By category, those are:
These providers act on our instructions and are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes. They have their own privacy and data-handling terms, and we share only what's needed for the feature you're using. We will name the specific provider handling your information on request — email us and we will tell you.
Sending a project request is how you ask for real help with a real job, so it goes to people, not just to a database. Your request may be shared with:
By sending a project request, you agree that we and/or the contractor handling it may contact you by email, phone call, or text message about that specific request. That's the point of sending it — it's how you get an answer. Standard message and data rates may apply to any texts you receive. This permission covers your request and our follow-up on it; it is not consent to marketing. We will not add you to a marketing list on the strength of a project request alone, and you can tell us to stop contacting you at any time (see section 8).
Your conversations with Sprout and your project request are never published or made public.
The Service uses browser local storage for basic functionality (like remembering that you've visited before). It does not require advertising cookies to function. You can clear this at any time through your browser's site-data settings.
Project requests are retained as business records for as long as needed to serve you and to meet our tax and accounting obligations. Conversation records are kept while they remain useful for supporting you and improving Sprout. Operational logs (such as those used for security and rate-limiting) are short-lived and rotate automatically. Service providers retain data according to their own policies.
Ask us to delete your project request or your conversation records and we will, unless we are required to keep them. Email service@1800newturf.com and tell us what you'd like removed. Note that once a request has been passed to a contractor, that contractor holds their own copy under their own privacy practices — we'll tell you who received it so you can ask them directly.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. You don't have to live in any particular place to ask — we'll honor the request either way. If you tell us to stop contacting you, we'll stop. To make a request or ask a question, contact us at service@1800newturf.com.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so please avoid sending sensitive personal details through the chat.
If you provide your mobile number or text our support line (currently +1 605-368-3232), you consent to receive text messages from Turf Blasters Services LLC (operator of the 1-800-NEW-TURF service) related to your inquiry — customer support, questions about hydroseeding, sod, seed and erosion services, quotes, installer matching, and follow-up on a request you submitted. Message frequency varies based on your activity. Message and data rates may apply. Consenting to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase or service.
You can opt out at any time by replying STOP. Reply HELP for help, or email service@1800newturf.com.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Phone numbers and SMS opt-in consent collected for our text-messaging program are used only to operate that program and are never sold or shared with any third parties for their marketing.
We may update this policy as the Service grows (for example, when accounts, plans, or connected tools launch). We'll revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide clearer notice.
